Introduction

Robocraft 2015, more commonly referred to as RC15, is a community-driven project developed by our small team at Phoenix Softworks. We are a group of veteran players dedicated to preserving the legacy of Robocraft, and restoring the game to its former glory.

We want to let people relive the so-called "golden era" of Robocraft, shortly before the game started losing its core audience. Over the years we have expanded upon the original game with many bugfixes, countless quality-of-life improvements, backported features from newer versions, and even completely new content to accommodate an active and steadily-growing playerbase.

Motivation and History

Having witnessed the stagnation and steady decline of the original Freejam-operated Robocraft (even before the shutdown in 2025), we decided to take matters into our own hands.

This project has its roots going back to RC14, our previous endeavour to bring back 2014-era Robocraft - which had to shut down due to legal complications. You can read more about this on the old RC14 Project Website if you are interested in learning more about our origins.

Rest assured that, at least for the foreseeable future now that Freejam has shut down, RC15 is here to stay.

How we're bringing back Robocraft - and how YOU can play it now!

The RC15 Launcher

We've developed our own custom launcher & patcher for RC15, the download for which you can find ↪ here.

It will automatically download and install the latest version of RC15, and keep you up-to-date when we update the game.

Q: "What about my old Freejam account?"

We're not affiliated with Freejam, so we don't have access to your old account data. This data has also most likely been deleted following the January 2025 shutdown of Freejam and their services.

Q: "Does that mean my old bots are gone?"

We're sorry to tell you, but they were most likely also deleted1 when Freejam shut down.

1 There is one exception:
Some communities have made efforts to scrape CRF data while it was still available. If you previously uploaded your bots to the CRF, you may be able to download a 3D-Model which can help you remake it within RC15 (though this may yield poor results, as building bots in RC15 is different from modern Freejam Robocraft).
